A while ago, I had a unique opportunity to visit Istanbul with my family and explore the old city of Sultanahmet. Here is a photo diary of our adventure in Istanbul.
Accommodation: We stayed at Agora life, a charming hotel at the heart of the city and with easy access to most of Istanbul’s historic sites. We chose this hotel based on reviews from Tripadvisor, price, and location, location, location. Plus point for this hotel, a terrace with breathtaking views of the Bosphorus, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Galata Tower, Dolmabahce Palace, Golden Horn, Gulhane Park, and Saint Irene to name a few.
What we did: Day 1
A Bosphorus ferry cruise which many agree is the best way to see Istanbul. If you ever get a chance to visit, I recommend a cruise across the Bosphorus. Look out for the seagulls! Or even better buy a simit (round bread) before boarding the ferry and feed the seagulls like a local.
Up next— Our visit to Hagai Sophia.
