    Roman Holiday

    Roma, day 1

    un giorno a Roma

Rome, an ancient city seated at the crossroads of antiquity and modernity. This dichotomy is evident in the centuries old ruins juxtaposed with sleek steel and glass office buildings, in the bustling city roadways that wind in and out of preserved fortifications, the statues, bridges, chapels, all so matter-of-fact to passersby tooling along on Vespas or driving down narrow cobblestone streets in powerful Italian supercars. I was overcome by a sense of gratitude, as I took it all in. With my camera in tow I set out to discover this old city. Stay tuned for the next installment on Rome.

Basilica di San Pietro. Cortile della Pigna. Musei Vaticani Entrance. A Roman bust. Sfera con Sfera. Egyptian Sphinx at Museo Pio Clementino. Piazza Venezia. Laocoön and his sons. Pantheon, Rome, Italy.
